The
Torquezone spring unit, is recognised as the world’s
most advanced continuous wire spring system. It features
spirals made from one complete length of high strength,
heat tempered steel wire, which dramatically increases
the strength and support of the unit. The spirals are
linked together with helicals that run head to toe. This
helps eliminate the tendency of two bodies to roll
together, resulting in less partner disturbance and a
higher quality of sleep.
The spirals in the Torquezone unit are attached to a
border rod. This combined with the Nuflex Edge
Stabilisers provides exceptional surface support and
stability to the very edge of the bed, increasing the
overall sleeping surface. The Torquezone unit will adapt

Sleepyhead have engineered a variety of different base constructions to
compliment their extensive range of mattresses. According to research
conducted at the Montefiori Sleep Research Centre in America, it was
found that a mattress lasts 68% longer when placed on an innerspring
base. The mattress provides approximately 60% of the support that the
body needs and the spring base provides the remaining 40%. Using a
spring unit in the base that compliments the mattress spring system, has
enabled us to build comfort layers into your bed that would not have

and features the Truflex spring unit with Nuflex edge stabilisers for
